Shinola is an American lifestyle brand based in Detroit, and its most well-known brand product is its watch collection. For this project,  I created a visual concept for a new watch dial design with a theme that celebrates the brand's heritage, which includes custom number design and iconography design. 





Concept
& Visual Reference

Shinola has a pride in being based in Detroit, the leading manufacturing state of America that had its glory during the 1920s. The design direction was the modern reinterpret of the Art Deco style, reflecting the brand's value and heritage. The main reference for the concept is the Guardian Building, the landmark of Detroit. Built in the 1920s, the interior of the building reflects the Art Deco style of Detroit.
